Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how İnnovator Bilişim Teknolojileri Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. (“Innovator,” “we”), as data controller, processes personal data in connection with the Innovator Chat service (the plugin, our backend, and this website).

1. What We Collect

Store/account data: your store URL, license key, subscription plan, and billing details handled by Paddle (see Section 3).
Chat data:messages exchanged between your store’s visitors and the assistant, so we can generate responses and provide usage statistics to you. On Growth/Pro plans, a short excerpt (up to 200 characters) of visitor messages is also stored to power the “most asked questions” and “searches with no results” analytics shown to you.
Lead data (optional): if you enable the pre-chat form, the name and email address a visitor submits, along with their marketing consent choice. If you enable automated lead follow-up (Growth/Pro), we use this to send a single follow-up email and to let a returning visitor resume an open live-support conversation on a different browser or device by matching their email address.
Live support data (Growth/Pro, optional):if a visitor is handed off to a human agent, your staff can see the full conversation, the visitor’s name/email, and any billing details (address, phone) they type into the order-creation panel to place an order on the visitor’s behalf.
Technical data: IP address and basic request metadata, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

2. Why We Process This Data

To operate the Service (generating chat responses, enforcing plan limits, activating licenses), to provide you with usage statistics and lead lists, to bill your subscription, to respond to support requests, and to comply with our legal obligations. Our legal basis under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) is the performance of the contract between us and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service.

3. Who We Share Data With

Paddle.com Market Limited processes your billing and payment data as the Merchant of Record for your subscription. Our AI/language model provider processes chat message content in order to generate responses; this may involve processing outside Türkiye. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and chat data for as long as your subscription is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and support obligations. You may request deletion as described in Section 6.

5. Local Storage on the Widget

The chat widget uses your browser’s local storage to keep an ongoing conversation visible across page reloads on the store you are visiting. This data stays in the visitor’s browser and is not a third-party cookie.

6. Your Rights

Under KVKK Article 11, you may request confirmation of whether we process your data, access to that data, correction or deletion of it, and object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@innovator.tr.
